Here at Lansdowne Road we have lots of 'cool'. Our ice rail happens to be very cool. There may be a few other bars across the country that have incorporated an ice rail into their bar top, but ours is the only illuminated one! We can even change the color of the ice depending on the holiday or to match the color of your favorite team during the big game! It's cool to look at and cool to touch but most importantly it'll keep your beer nice and cool for you as well! Our frozen Cobra head is the centerpiece of our bar top. Many bars have these newfangled tap heads but not many can actually get theirs to freeze up like we can! Here we will showcase some of our more full flavored and higher alcoholic content beers. Our cobra head is kept a steady 26F degrees so we need to put beer on it that won't freeze in the beer lines. Pretty cool. Our managing partner, Dan McLaughlin is pretty cool. He is responsible for choosing the beers we carry here at Lansdowne Road. He is a self proclaimed beer geek and can answer any questions you have about the beers we have at Lansdowne Road. In this room you will see illuminated boxes with the jerseys from many of the top rugby teams from all over the world. We are hoping to eventually find a local team that we can honor by hanging one of their jerseys up! The Pitch can be used for parties as well. The cool part is that you won't be relegated to some private back room. We'll even let you DJ your own party and/or show your own presentation or video. You can hook up your own IPOD to our system or make a playlist from our files. "The Pitch" is pretty much part of the bar so if you want to meander up and mingle with the regular bar folk you can! Go ahead say it.......... "that's cool!" Our high definition audio/visual system is very cool. Our HDTV satellite system displays crystal clear action on high definition plasmas as large as 65 inches! We can also put the sound for two separate games on and they won't interfere with each other! Our sound system is designed to play digital music from a variety of sources including our own vast library of tunes. With the latest technology, it doesn't have to be loud to sound good! So there you have it. These are just a few of the many cool features of Lansdowne Road. We could go on about how the galvanized steel canopy above the bar is a replica of the west side of Lansdowne Road stadium in Dublin, or how our bench seating is designed so that you and your friends can sit up on top of it for the big game, or how good the food is or how friendly the staff is..but you might want to come on over and see for yourself.
